Having the injury I had isn’t an easy thing to go through and come back from, nor is that an excuse for what has happened. That’s part of hockey. I’ve learned so much this year and going through what I’ve had to with injuries and the [trade] deadline, I just continue to work through them and see light at the end of the tunnel. So much of this game is mental. On a physical standpoint, I still have to do things all the time to allow me to be in a good state. It’s a constant battle. If it was easy, everybody would be doing it. It’s a work in progress and I keep working at it to get better. I feel I can be a great offensive player and when the puck doesn’t go in the net as much as you like, it’s frustrating.
Just because you can skate, it doesn’t mean you’re going to have a successful time out there. I am who I am and I’m not going to go out and totally revamp my game. You can be a well-rounded player no matter what you’re needed to do.

See I don’t even care anymore. I know it’s entertaining and all the shows and you [media] guys, but for us it’s a tough time thinking you could be uprooted and move your family. Hopefully, it comes and goes fast and everyone is here. We feel confident, but if Mike feels there are changes or depth or improvements he needs to make, he will.
